Intro to Wire

In this course, you will learn about the different kinds of wire used for fire alarm systems. You will learn about network cabling like CAT 6, and about single mode and multi-mode fiber. You will learn about the American Wire Gauge (AWG) and how wires are sized. You will learn about shields and which type of wire to use underground and in wet locations. You will learn how to select wire where Level 2 or 3 Pathway Survivability is required. Lastly, you will get an introduction to using wire by learning how to strip wire with and without a string.
